Ralph Herz

Originally from the Netherlands, Ralph Herz and his family immigrated to the United States and made Tampa their home. He began attending USF in the fall of 2013 as a Provost scholar, allowing him to take an accelerated path to his degree. He is expecting to graduate a semester early with degrees in finance and accounting.  

At USF, Herz has been involved in Greek life through his fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon, where he previously served as the vice president of finance and currently serves as president. He has also been a member of the Interfraternity Council executive board as the vice president of operations and acting president for a period of time.

Last year, Herz joined student government as a senator for the College of Business, and was awarded the Senator of the Month award for October of 2015. He also served on the Senate Appropriations and Audit Committee and the Special Funding Committee that allocates money to student organizations.

Herz has obtained a number awards and achievements while attending USF. He has been awarded the Sun Trust Bank Scholarship for excellence in in his business classes, with a 3.90 cumulative USF GPA and a 4.0 finance grade point average. He is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars as well as the Order of the Golden Brahman.

Herz will intern with Raymond James this summer.  After that, he looks forward to graduating and continuing to give back to USF and his community.
